Greater Manchester Smile for a mile celebration day 2019

Today, all our children from Reception - Year 6 took part in the Greater Manchester Smile for a mile Celebration day. The aim was to get all Primary School children accross the Greater Manchester area to run a mile (approx 8 laps of our 2 playgrounds combined) and celebrate being healthy and active.

The children were all given 15 minutes to run as many laps of our 2 playgrounds as possible :) It was an absolutely beautiful day so everyone enjoyed running in the sun!

The teachers are counting up the scores and they will be posted for you all to see next week! We will be having a whole school total too so you will be able to see just how many laps and miles are super children have run together in 1 day as a whole school.

which totals an incredible

210 miles!
