Safeguarding

Prospect Vale aims to create and maintain a safe learning environment where all children and adults feel safe, secure and valued and know they will be listened to and taken seriously.

Key staff in school

Nik Gaulton –  Acting Headteacher & Safeguarding lead – headteacher@prospectvale.stockport.sch.uk

Jamat Ali - Named Governor for Safeguarding and Child Protection

Clare Turnbull – Acting Deputy Headteacher & Deputy Safeguarding Lead

Pupil Voice

All pupils will know that there are adults in the school whom they can approach in confidence if they are in difficulty or feeling worried that their concerns will not be taken seriously, all will be treated with respect.

At Prospect Vale we regularly have circle time activities which allow for students to discuss their feelings.

Child friendly Posters are displayed around the school which tell students what they should do if they are upset or worried about something.

Training

All staff are training in safeguarding and understand what signs to look out for.

Policies

Please see below policies and school information in relation to safeguarding - also please read our easy to understand safeguarding leaflet which is available for all visitors to our school.
