Regular attendance plays a vital part in helping your child to reach their full potential.
We ask that pupils arrive in time to start the day at 8.55 a.m. promptly - any child that arrives after the gates close will be classed as late.
Should your child need to be absent we ask:
- Parents to inform school by 10.00am on the first day of your child’s absence. There is an answerphone system that can by used to leave a message if the office is closed.
- Send a letter into school upon their return to ensure absence is recorded as authorised.
- Pupils who are late must be signed in the late book in the school office by an adult. Persistent absence and lateness is followed up by the Headteacher and Education Officer.
- We discourage families from taking their children out of school during term time as it is disruptive to their education. However, in exceptional circumstances requests for leave of absence during term time should be put in writing by completing the following form and submitting it to the school office within 4 weeks of the start of the proposed leave of absence.
