Welcome to Year 4

Summer Term 

Our topic this term is ‘Look North West.’ We will learn about the geography of the wider north west of England and make comparisons between our own locality and the coastal region around Formby, in Merseyside. A visit has been booked to facilitate this first hand. Details will be sent out in due course.

As the year 4 national times tables test will be taking place in early June, it is essential that children are practising very regularly. Please help your child to do their best by encourging them to practise at home!

Spellings given out and tested - Friday (Please have spelling books in school)

The key words that your child is expected to be able to spell by the end of Year 4 are listed in the file below!

Homework will be given on Thursday to be returned by Tuesday

Homework and spellings will be put on the Google classroom each week

Regular/ daily multiplication practise is also highly reccommended in preparation for the end of Year 4 national times tables test! (Use the links above!)

PE- Monday (and Tuesday until October half term) See file below for expected kit

Swimming- Friday (this half term only) Please note that the bus leaves at 9:00am

Please help us by ensuring that your child has the correct books /kit / work/ equipment in school each day! Thank you!

Snacks are not provided but the children are often hungry by break time.

Please send in a fruit snack daily.

Please also remember that water bottles are essential in class each day!
