Summer PE (reception)

It has been a great summer term taking PE on a Thursday with our fabulous reception class!

In between dodging the rain, we have managed to get lots of different opportunities in to increase the childrens skills.

When we have worked inside we have progressed our gymnastic skills focusing on areas such as - safe climbing, travelling, balancing, dismounting and rolling.

When we have worked outside we have looked of lots of different games, in  particular on team games with a huge focus on working as a team and playing fairly. We have had some fun class competitions involving sack races, relays and egg and spoon and worked on simple target games where the skill focus is throwing, kicking, hitting, striking, pushing and bowling.
