PE in Reception - Autumn 1

This half term in Reception, the children have had the opportunity to spend time in the hall building their fundamental skills and basic movement to music.

Children develop skills of balancing, running, hopping, jumping, travelling and changing direction and develop fine and gross motor skills, through handling equipment. They are learning how to stay safe using space and understand and follow rules and instructions. The children have had the chance to explore travelling movements, shapes and balances. 

It has been fabulous to work with such an enthusiastic reception class and I look forward to many more fun PE lessons next half term :)
