PE and Sport celebration assembly and awards presentation

Unfortunately, The Stockport SHAPES PE and sports awards grand event at The Stockport Plaza was cancelled this year :(

So, Mrs Wall and I presented our own celebration at school.

We had some amazing performances from our Year 5/6 gymnasts who had represented PV so brilliantly earlier in the year and our Cheerleading team 'PV Flyers' performed a routine for everyone...

We popped in some fun 'Wake-up, Shake-ups' and presented awards to all our winners....

These were NOT winners as picked by PV staff, but selected by the SHAPES team at the Town Hall! (I present nominations to the panel)

We celebrated - 

Minnie - LKS2 Sports poem of the year

Zac - Spirit award for passion

Polly - Spirit award for determination

Ayat - Spirit award for Self-belief

Emily - Spirit award for Teamwork

Benyamin - Spirit award for Respect

Louisa - Spirit award for Honesty

Zac & Emily - for their outstanding contribution to school football

Aiza, Shanzay, Amaani & Ayza - for acheiving their GOLD Sports leader awards

And finally........

Sam H - for being awarded the OVERALL winner in the whole of Stockport for the 'Alan Newton Sports acheiver of the Year'.
