Greater Manchester Transition athletics competition

8 pupils from Year 6 were selected to represent Prospect Vale at the annual Indoor athletics competition held at The Etihad campus, Manchester!

Our Year 6 team alongside Etchells Primary Year 6's and Laurus Cheadle Hulme's Year 7's made up the 24 strong team that became the 'Sky Blues'. There was a total of 8 teams - thats a huge 192 athletes taking part!

Everyone competed individually in 1 track and 1 field event and also a team relay :)

The team eventually finished in 4th place and there were some amazing individual performances including Sam's 400m win!

I am incredibly proud of how our pupils not only performed, but cheered on the other competitors and made new friends...

(Sadly, due to construction I was unable to get the annual Manchester City photo shoot.......)
