Autumn 1 PE in Year 3

Year 3 have had an incredibly busy start to the new school year in PE!

We have focused on gymnastics and athletics. After learning all about Stockport's own Wimbledon Champion Fred Perry, we have also managed to have some tennis skills lessons..

In gymnastics we have developed our skills further by using apparatus and mats to perfect sequences individually, in pairs and in groups. The children have thought about how to make their routines smooth and flow, and how they can use a variety of skills in different ways. They have used different ways to travel, dismount and balance with increasing skill.

The children were also introduced to low level vaulting and there was some great emerging talent on display..

Year 3 really enjoy PE lessons and it is fabulous to work with so many enthusiastic children!
