Welcome to Year 6/Lisbon class

Hi Lisbon class!

We hope you have had a restful and wonderful summer break. We are all really looking forward to welcoming you back to school for your Year 6 adventure this year.  

Here are a few highlights for your final year at Prospect Vale:

• Please look out for more exciting events through the year such as Year 6 Sleepover and our London trip. 

Year 6 presents many opportunties and much excitement as well as a drive and determination to be the the best we can be in our learning. 

Homework in maths and English will start on Friday 13th September and will be weekly homework to be returned the following Friday when new homework will be set. 

Additional homework will be sent home soon for our Topic (The Maya Civilisation) which will allow you to show off your creative side. 

Continued daily reading (15 minutes a day) of good fiction remains of the highest importance! I can't stress enough how vital this is!  

In order to get a head start on the new term, please read our Year 6 Newsletter for the autumn term. All key information and learning is included in the letter in the files below. 

Our P.E. days are currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and all children must have appropriate kit for these days. A list for kit can be seen on the files below and it is good preparation for high school for all Year 6 children to be responsible for their kit. We have additional sessions for Year 6 provided by The Kingsway School and Stockport County Football Club.
