Invictus Games

Last week Year 1 and Year 2 had a special 'Invictus Day' to celebrate the Invictus Games that were taking place in The Netherlands.

We looked at what the games were, why they were founded and why they were so special. In PE we played sitting volleyball, blind football and tried blind athletics and it gave us a really good insight into how amazing some of the athletes selected for their country are!

The Invictus Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women.
